CONDUCTING

Tony is the Founding President/Artistic Director of Viva Voices Choral Organization. Viva Voices provides high-quality, affordable community choirs for children, youth, and adults in the Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky area.  Visit www.vivavoices.net for more information.

Previously, Tony served artistic director of Voices of the Commonwealth, a 75-voice community chorus in Northern Kentucky.  Under his leadership, that choir grew exponentially into an organization that earned a reputation for presenting creative, diverse programs at a very high artistic level.  Voices of the Commonwealth was invited to collaborate with the Kentucky Symphony Orchestra, to perform at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C., and to perform at Carnegie Hall in New York City.  They performed many of the great choral works such as Fauré’s Requiem, Mozart’s Solemn Vespers, Orff’s Carmina Burana, Vaughan Williams’ Dona Nobis PacemHandel’s Messiah, and many others.  They presented the Cincinnati regional premier of three major choral works by composer Dan Forrest.  In the summer of 2018, they travelled to England to perform at the Ely Cathedral in a concert commemorating the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I.

Additionally, Tony has also had the wonderful opportunity to serve as a guest conductor and clinician for several honor choirs and festivals. He often leads workshops for public school choral educators, and adjudicates for choral and vocal festivals.

In addition, Tony has served as the Associate Conductor and Chorus Director for the Lebanon Symphony Orchestra, student conductor of the Alderson-Broaddus College choirs, and has as the conductor of adult and children's church choirs for over 20 years.

Recently, Tony particiated in a conducting menoring program in New York City with Dr. Craig Jessop, former conductor of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.
